Temulawak Series part (2): Maintain Your Stamina with Jamu Temulawak!

Stamina is our physical and mental ability to be active for a certain period of time. Stamina affects our physical conditions. When it’s down, our bodies down as well. This results in decreased body resistance. On the other hand, if you have high stamina, you are more resistant to stress, injury, and fatigue during activities.

Jamu temulawak has been proven to be effective to maintain our body stamina from generations. Certain properties in temulawak can increase appetite, so that energy in our body are always maintained. In addition, temulawak has anti-bacterial and anti-viral properties to ward off various diseases, so that the body remains healthy.

It is easy to make jamu temulawak. If you want to make it yourself, here’s the recipe.

Ingredients:

  • 100 g of temulawak/Java ginger (Curcuma zanthorrhiza)
  • 25 g galangal
  • 20 g leaves of meniran/chamber bitter (Phyllanthus urinaria)
  • 750 cc of water

How to make:

  1. Peel all ingredients and wash clean.
  2. Cut all ingredients into thin strips.
  3. Boil all ingredients until the water left about 2 cups.
  4. Strain the water and let stand a few moments.

Drink the jamu temulawak twice a day, every morning and evening.
