Jamupedia friends, not many people know the benefits of wedang bajigur. most of them only consume bajigur to warm the body during cold days. In fact, wedang bajigur has good properties for lowering cholesterol.
Wedang bajigur has a sweet taste a punch of spicy sensation. The spicy taste is obtained from the mixture of spices in it. The efficacy of bajigur as a cholesterol-lowering agent is also obtained from the spice ingredients which varies from ginger, lemongrass, cinnamon, to cardamom. Empirically, the various ingredients in these spices play a role in controlling cholesterol in our bodies.
If you like to make your own wedang bajigur, here are the ingredients and how to make it.
Ingredients:
- 100 g ginger
- 1 sheet lemongrass
- 2 lt coconut milk
- 350 g palm sugar
- 1 cinnamon
- 3 cardamom
- 5 cloves
- 10 gr ground coffee
- Pandan leaves to taste
- 2 g Vanilla
- salt to taste
- Kolang kaling (optional)
How to make:
- Wash and burn the ginger, then crush it
- Wash and crush lemongrass
- Boil the ginger, lemongrass, cinnamon, cloves, cardamom and pandan leaves for about 15 minutes.
- Strain the water
- Boil all the spices again, and add the coconut sugar and kolang kaling until softer.
- Add the coconut milk, coffee, salt, and vanilla powder, stir until it boils. Turn of the fire.
- Wait for the bajigur to warm
