Pala, a Natural Way to Get Rid of Insomnia

Insomnia (sleeping difficulties) is not a dangerous health problem; it can’t even be said as a disease. However, insomnia can lead to many health problems. Insomnia can cause disease in our body due to lack of sleep. In fact, insomnia affect our psychological condition to cause mental depression. For example, if you can’t sleep at night, as you wake the next day and do your activities, you will definitely find it difficult to focus and be in a bad mood.

Generally, insomnia is due to factors like these:

  1. Stress
  2. Drug side effects
  3. Poor diet
  4. Effects of caffeine, nicotine and alcohol
  5. Lack of exercise
  6. Environmental factors
  7. Illness

To prevent insomnia, you can do the following things.

  1. Avoid eating and drinking before bed.
  2. Avoid consuming alcoholic and caffeinated drinks.
  3. Active during the day to avoid naps.

To help deal with insomnia, you can try a simple concoction from pala/nutmeg. Not only used as a spice in cooking, you can use pala as an herbal remedy to treat insomnia. pala as a natural sleep medicine is quite effective. Quoted from halodoc.com, if you consume pala at 10 in the evening, the effects can last until the morning. The amount of pala used is 1-10 grams for a drinking glass.

Pala contains myristicin and macelignans which have been shown to reduce the degradation of nerve pathways in the brain. Pala also contains potassium which is a vasodilator that relaxes blood vessels, reduces blood pressure, so that the cardiovascular system becomes healthier.

  • o   1/5 part of Nutmeg
  • o   1 teaspoon honey
  • o   1 cup of hot water

However, if the insomnia persists, you should consult their doctor . This is because consuming pala for a long period of time can have unhealthy side effects to the body.
