Jamu temulawak/Java ginger (Curcuma zanthorrhiza) contains compounds such as curcumin, monoterpenes, essential oils, minerals, protein and others. It has antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial, anti-irritant and other beneficial properties.
Some of the contents help in relieving stomach acid. Curcumin, for an example, can stimulate bile to produce substances to overcome various problems. Its antioxidant content is also able to kill bacteria that cause stomach acid to rise.
Jamu temulawak can be found in various products, such as powder, capsules and sachets. You can easily get Jamu temulawak from mobile herbalists and toko jamu (herbal shops). However, you can also make it yourself with the following recipe:
Ingredients:
- 40 g temulawak, thinly sliced and aerated.
- 1500 air
How to make:
- Boil temulawak in water
- Let stand a few moments to cool down and drink.
You can consume the jamu temulawak once a day. To avoid rising stomach acid, eat regularly. Choose nutritious foods that do not cause stomach acid.
