According to the Big Indonesian Dictionary (KBBI, Kamus Besar Bahasa Indonesia), daya tahan tubuh (body immune system) is the body’s ability to withstand anything from outside such as physical attacks or illnesses, mental attacks. and others that can damage or be detrimental for our body. For the reason, we need to maintain the immune system to its prime condition.

Bacteria and viruses have detrimental properties, but some are actually beneficial for the body. We may not be able to avoid all harmful viruses and bacteria but by maintaining the immune system.

Along with bacteria and viruses, bad habits are also detrimental to the health and making the body susceptible to disease. Well, what are the habits, then? Let’s check these following 5 bad habits.

  1. Stress

Stress has negative impacts on things around you. Make sure to have enough time for relaxation and engaging in activities that make you happy.

  1. Alcohol consumption

Consuming excessive alcohol reduces immune system and cause inflammation of the liver and other organ systems.

  1. Smoking

Smoking is not good for body health. In addition to damaging the lungs, it can also reduce the body’s immune system so that it is more susceptible to viruses or diseases.

  1. Staying up late

Ideally, the body needs 7-8 hours of sleep in a day. However, if this is not possible, make sure you have a quality sleep.

  1. To many activities

Excessive daily activities without adequate rest will reduce immune system. So, do activities as necessary and reduce activities that are not too important.

That’s is it, do avoid the 5 bad habits above, so that your body has enough immune system and your body in prime condition.
